Cleveland Ave. Larceny was reported at 1700 Fair Lane. An auto accessory was stolen 1308 W. 15th St. A hit and run was reported Sioux Police Sioux Falls Madeline Gramm Madeline Gramm, 83, of 4002 S.

Van Eps, died Tuesday at Odd Fellows Nursing Home in Dell Rapids. Madeline Beck was born Sept. 15, 1904, at Anna Moose, N.D. She married William Gramm in June 1928. They lived in Sioux Falls for many years where Mrs.

Gramm did Madeline housekeeping and babysitting. Gramm Mr. Gramm died in 1984. Survivors include: two daughters: Vaye Jean Strom and Jan Reynolds, both of Sioux Falls; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be 10 a.m.

Saturday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with burial in Riverview Cemetery in Chamberlain at 3 p.m. Visitation will be all day today at the funeral home. Alyce Kelly Alyce Maria Kelly, 73, of 1401 Alyce Kelly W. Sixth died Thursday at McKennan Hospital. Alyce Seigfred was born April 15, 1915, in rural Brandon.

She attended All Saints School in Sioux Falls and was graduated from Brandon High School. She attended the Minneapolis Art Institute. She was an interior decorator and later be- Alyce Kelly came a Realtor. She married Frank Kelly on June 17, 1942, at Los Angeles, Calif. They moved to Brandon in 1946, and to Sioux Falls in 1957.

Mr. Kelly died in 1964. Mrs. Kelly was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church and Swedona Ladies Aid; past local and state member of the Business and Professional Women; past chairman of the Minnehaha Easter Seal Association. She was a member and past secretary of the Board of Realtors.

Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Darrell (Donna Maria) "Widgie" Gunderson, Rapid City; two grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Norman (Donna Belle) Delany, Carlsbad, Calif. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Swedona Covenant Church in rural Brandon with burial at the church cemetery.

Prayer services will be 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. Eunice Straup Eunice Mae Straup, 97, of 816 S. West died Thursday at the Mom and Dad's Nursing Home. Eunice Marks was born Mary 24, 1891, at Cedar County near Tipton, Iowa.

In 1897 she moved with her family to a farm near Salem where she attended country schools and the Salem Public School. She married Herbert S. Straup on Sept. 20, 1911, at Salem. The couple lived in Sioux Falls for several years and spend their winters in McAllen, Texas.

Mr. Straup died April 25, 1950. After her husband's death Mrs. Straup lived and worked as a practical nurse in Perry. Iowa.

She retired and moved to Sioux Falls in 1963. She had been a resident at the nursing home since October 1987. Survivors include five nephews: Lyle Thomas, Madison; Darrell Marks, Hiawatha, Iowa; Howard R. Hilton, Richfield, Donald Marks, Tulsa, Robert Marks, Salem; and two nieces: Mrs. B.E.

(Marjorie) Conrad, Sioux Falls; and Mrs. Diek (Rita) Joseph, Fulton, Texas. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls. Visitation will begin after 3 p.m.

A man Wednesday was arrested for indecency at Rainbow Bar, 305 N. Phillips. Vandalism was reported at 1207 W. Fifth St. Two juveniles were arrested for shoplifting at Lewis South, 2701 S.

Minnesota Ave. Iver Tufty SIOUX CITY, Iowa Iver 0. Tufty, 72, Sioux City, formerly of Sioux Falls, died of an apparent heart attack Tuesday at Custer. He was born May 25, 1916, at Nunda. He at- Iver Tufty Iver Tufty tended high school and the Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa, and the University of Colorado, Denver.

He married Lorraine Gage Nov. 15, 1941. He entered military service as an aviation cadet February 1941 and was commissioned a second lieutenant and rated as a pilot Feb. 27, 1941. He flew combat missions as a bomber pilot.

After discharge from active duty in 1946, he returned to Sioux Falls and was active in establishing the South Dakota Air Guard, of which he was a chartered member. He served in various command positions in the guard and was called to active duty during the Korean Conflict. He remained active with the guard until he retired in 1971 at the rank of brigadier general. Mr. Tufty was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Distinguished Service Cross, Purple Heart, Air Medal, Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, European, African, Middle East Medal with five battle stars; the Air Force Longevity Service Award, and Air Force Reserve Medal and hour Kathryn Pugh Kathryn Pugh, infant daughter of Douglas and Samantha Pugh, 615 S.

Second died Wednesday at her home. She was born July 16, at St. Joseph Hospital, Mitchell. Survivors include her parents; one brother, Jeremiah, and one sister, Emily, both at home; her grandparents: PRov and Pauline Pugh, Kathryn Pugh Sioux Falls; Lloyd and Bonnie Boyd, Orient; great-grandmothers: Helen Engbrecht, Marion; Rose Weisner, Orient; and great great-great-grandfather, William Enrich Redfield. Services will be 1 p.m.

Saturday at Miller Funeral Home with burial in the Schartner Cemetery in rural Dolton. State Laurine Jensen WHITE Laurine Bollette Jensen, 102, White, died Wednesday at the White Care Center. Laurine Petersen was born March 19, 1886, at Vennebjerg, Denmark. She was baptized and confirmed at the Vennebjerg Church. She received her education and was graduated as a seamstress from the Vennebjerg schools.

She married Senius Jensen May 17, 1908, at Vennebjerg. They moved with her family to America in 1908 and the same year moved to Brookings. In 1915 they moved to a farm in Argo Township. They moved back to Brookings 1940. Mr.

Jensen died Dec. 19, 1977. Mrs. Jensen continued to live in Brookings until 1978. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Brookings.

Survivors include: one son, Charley Jensen, White; one daughter, Ruby Preussler, Coquille, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Brookings. Visitation will be from 2 to 6. p.m.

Prospect St. A citation for liquor violation was issued in the 700 block of West 11th St. A citation for liquor violation was issued to a juvenile at 26th Street and Dakota Avenue. Citations were issued to several juveniles for causing a disturbance at 800 block of Gina Place. A man was arrested for drunken driving at 300 N.

He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and of the El Riad Shrine Temple of Sioux He was a member of the State and Federal National Guard Association and a former member of the Elks Club. He was past president of the Sioux City Country Club and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. He had been owner of Motor Parts Central since 1951 in Sioux City. He was a Dodge dealer in Sioux City from 1957 to 1960. He was vice president and treasurer of the Sioux City Club from 1960-1965; president of Sioux City Auto Association from 1959 to 1965; and was an association organizer of Life Investors of Iowa Insurance Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 1959.

Survivors include: his wife; two sons: Clifford; Sioux City; Craig, Washington, D.C.; one daughter, Carolyn Rossie, Lake St. Louis, four grandchildren; and one sister, Thelma Serr, Sioux Falls. Services will be 1 p.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux City with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Sioux Falls and Sioux City Air National Guard.

A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association and the Trinity Lutheran Church. Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, Sioux City, is in charge of arrangements. Wheeler Parker CLEAR LAKE Wheeler Parker, 68, Clear Lake, died Wednesday at the Brookings Hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1919, at Loma, N.D.

He moved with then to a farm north of Altamont. parents to Hinckley, chid He married Anna Walter on July 27, 1941, at Aurora, Ill. They lived in Aurora for three years where he worked for the railroad. They moved to Marshall, and in 1944 moved to a farm in the Hidewood Township, Deuel County. They retired and moved to Clear Lake in 1974..

Survivors include: his wife; two sons: David, Rapid City; Vince, Clear Lake; one daughter, Mrs. Mark (Diane) Potthast, Aurora; 14 grandchildren; his mother, Flossie Parker, one brother, Raymond, Clear Lake; three sisters: Eleanor Jania, Duluth, Pearl Butzin, Revillo; and Ila Schrad, Montgomery, Ill. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Congregational Church with burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Clear Lake. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.

to 9 p.m. today at Eng's Funeral Home, Clear Lake. A family prayer service will be 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Dewey Swanson BERESFORD Dewey Swanson, 89, Beresford, died Wednesday at Bethesda Nursing Home in Beresford.

He was born Sept. 24, 1898, at Union County. He- attended North Spink County schools. After receiving his education he farmed in the Spink area. He also farmed in the Roseni community.

Mr. Swanson married Sarah Holthe on May 26, 1926. They farmed in the Roseni community. Mrs. Swanson died in 1976.

Mr. Swanson continued to farm. On Aug. 14, 1976, he married LaVern Ritter in Beresford. They made their home on the Swanson farm until 1979 when they moved into town.

He had been a resident of the nursing home since 1986. Mr. Swanson was a. member of the Roseni Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, two sons: Judine Swanson, Beresford; Marlin, Alcester; two stepsons: Larry Lindstrom, Sioux City, Iowa; Dean Lindstrom, Beresford; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lester, Alcester.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Dalesburg Baptist Church with burial at Roseni Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Wass Funeral Home, Beresford.

He was born Feb. 6, 1911, near Volin on the family homestead farm. He is survived by two brothers: Harold, Volin; Dale, Beloit, two sisters: Vivian Jacobsen, rural Volin; and Margaret Jacobsen, Des Moines, Iowa. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Church of Christ, Wakonda, with burial in Union Cemetery in rural Wakonda.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Hanson Funeral Home, Irene. Prayer service will be 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Clifford Gilliland Clifford P.

Gilliland, 72, died Wednesday morning in the Lake Norden Care Center. He was born Aug. 31, 1915, on a farm near Ortley. At age 12 he moved with his parents into Ortley, where he attended school. He married Sybil Nado on Aug.

16, 1940, in Webster. He worked on farms and road construction until 1948, when they moved to Watertown. There he worked for- Metz Baking Co. for 19 years. In 1967, they moved to Seattle, where he worked for Gai's Bakery until retiring in 1974.

They then moved to Castlewood, where they lived until his death. He had moved into the care center two months ago. His hobbies were jewelry making and rock polishing, and he built various machines that he used in his shop. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Dale, Tyler, Texas, and David, Castlewood; one brother, Milo, Watertown; two sisters: Daisey Lowe, Ortonville, and Laura Mae Ackerman, Broadus, 17 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m.

Saturday in the Geise Funeral Chapel in Castlewood with burial in the Castlewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. a and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Geise Funeral Chapel in Castlewood. Gertie Severson CANTON Gertie A.

Severson, 90, Canton, died Thursday at the Canton-Inwood Hospital. Gertie Studsdahl was born Feb. 25, 1898, at Hudson. She moved with her family to Bruce in 1907 where she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. She married Martin Severson on Oct.

15, 1925, at Bruce. They lived in Canton. Mr. Severson died Dec. 1, 1974.

Mrs. Severson lived the last four months with her daughter in Canton. Survivors include: three sons: Donald and Gordon, both of Platte; Paul, Canton; two daughters: Mrs. Kenneth (Mavis) Fossum, Canton; Mrs. Lawrence (Dorothy) McKinney, Beloit, Iowa; 23 grandchildren; 34 greatgrandchildren; two sisters: Alice Envoldsen and Ovedia Tellinghusien, both of Brookings.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Canton Lutheran Church with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Friday at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton. Out of state Esther Brubakken SOUTH ST.

PAUL, Minn. Esther Caroline Brubakken, 70, South St. Paul, formerly of Lake Norden, died Sunday in her home. Esther Thue was born July 7, 1918, in Lake Norden. She was graduated from Lake Norden High School, and served in the Marine Corps.

She married John "Alvin" Brubakken May, 21, 1950, in Bryant. They moved to South St. Paul after their marriage. She was a member of Luther Memorial Church, Women's Marine Association and South St. Paul Clown Her husband died in 1978.

Survivors include three daughters: Karen Brubakken, Milwaukee, Mrs. Kevin (Helen) Crummy, Argyle, and Elizabeth Brubakken, South St. Paul; Peters, 4701 W. 39th Thursday. A girl to Dave and Jan Jastram, 1212 E.

13th St. No. 4, pleaded guilty to drunken driving reduced from drunken driving; $200 fine and 30 days in jail. Nicholas D. Goodwin, 21, Brandon, pleads guilty to drunken driving; $350 fine, 30 days in jail and license revoked for 30 days; $200 and jail time suspended.

Leland C. Drapeau, 20, 4000 S. West pleaded guilty to simple assault reduced from aggravated assault; 60 days in jail; 54 days suspended provided defendant makes restitution and has no violent offenses for one year. Bryant W. Sobert, 21, 410 N.

Myrtle C. Paulson, 74, Devils Lake, died July 21 at Mercy Hospital. Myrtle Elverude was born Dec. 2, 1913, 3, at Volga. As a child she moved with her parents to Church Ferry, N.D.

and then to Leeds, N.D. where she was raised and educated. She married Syver Paulson Dec. 16, 1930, at Leeds. They moved to Devils Lake in 1931.

She was employed at Nokota Hatchery for many years. She also was employed at the Elks Club until she retired in 1977. Mrs. Paulson was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and the W.E.L.C.A.

of St. Olaf. Survivors include: her husband; three sons: James, Carson City, Richard, Sioux Falls; Ronald, Silver Lake, three daughters: Donna Garner, Moorehead, Mrs. E. Wayne (Joyce) Lewis, Fargo, N.D.; Mrs.

Jack (Carol) Jobe, Delano, one brother, Ernest Elverude, Idaho Falls, Idaho; two sisters: Mabel Gresdahl, Grand Forks, N.D.; Florence Sondreal, Fargo; 19 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren. Services were Monday in Devils Lake. John Schulte ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa John Schulte, 69, Rock Rapids, died Wednesday at Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital, Rock Rapids. Born July 20, 1919, in Germany, he came to the United States in 1926 and settled at Corona. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the African and Italian Campaigns.

He farmed near Ellsworth, Minn. He married Nellie Baker Dec. 22, 1946, at Luverne, Minn. They farmed near Rock Rapids. Mrs.

Schulte died in 1983. Survivors include: one son, John Rock Rapids; two daughters: Janice Schulte, North Platte, and Mrs. Jerome (Judy) Stork, Hubbard, and three grandchildren. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Congregational United Church of Christ.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at Roste Funeral Home, Rock Rapids. Verlin Bobzien CHEROKEE, Iowa Verlin 0. "Bob" Bobzien, 63, Cherokee, formerly of Sioux Falls, died July 11 at a Sioux City, Iowa, hospital following a long illness.

He was born May 18, 1925, at Hartley, Iowa. He was employed for 39 years with Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, spending 14 of those years at Sioux Falls, as a depot agent. He retired December 1984. Survivors include: his wife, Marian; two sons: Kenneth, Harvey, and Dennis, Lake City, Iowa; two daughters: Mrs. Kevin (Marcia) Pitts and Susan, both of Aurora, 1 grand- Phil Schmitz George Boom Funeral Home In Remembrance ERNEST O.

Jeffrey Mueller MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. Jeffrey P. Mueller, 24, Minneapolis, formerly of Sioux Falls, died Wednesday in Minneapolis. Mr. Mueller was a carrier for the Argus Leader for several years, and was graduated from Washington High School.

He served in the Navy for four years, and moved to Minneapolis a few Jeffrey Mueller months ago. Survivors include his mother, Lois Howard, Minneapolis; his father and step-mother, Paul L. and Merlette, Sioux Falls; his grandmothers: Mabel Mueller, Bock, and Esther Kendall, Amarillo, Texas; three brothers: Timothy and Todd, both of Minneapolis; and Scott, Point Mugu, and a sister, Carri Cavin, Sioux Falls. Raymond Merle Cox, 52, Rosepine, formerly of Dell Rapids, died of natural causes Tuesday at De Ridder, La. He was born Dec. 26, 1945, at Corsicana, Texas. He grew up in Kearns, Texas, and attended schools there and at Conroe, Texas. He received a bachelor's degree from General Beadle Teachers College in Madison.

He married Carol Graves in 1961 at Dell Rapids. They lived in Dell Rapids after their marriage and later moved to Sisseton, Wahpeton, N.D., and Rosepine where he taught He was a Mason and a member of of the Dell Rapids Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife; two daughters: Mrs. Lonny (Terri) Walker and Becky Cox, both of Baton Rouge, and five brothers. Services will be 2 p.m.
